Micro Design Solutions was formed in 2012, with the aim of providing bespoke electronic and embedded software design services and consultancy to engineering companies requiring professional, flexible and friendly resource in these areas. With an eye for detail and a focus on quality, the company has helped to deliver successful products to a diverse range of markets, working closely with clients at all stage of a product life cycle, from feasibility studies right through to after-sales support.

Embedded Software Design
Embedded software is what makes modern electronic products tick. Typically coded using the C language, we have experience in programming a wide range of microprocessors and microcontrollers to client specifications. With experience covering platforms including Atmel, Freescale, Renasas, NXP, Microchip and ST amongst others, we can tailor a software solution to your requirements.

MDS has several years experience in the design of automotive electronics, having taken on the responsibility for design and often the supply of vehicle sub-components to a number of "supercar" manufacturers over the years. This has involved the development of vehicle-compatible hardware and integrated software solutions in the form of ECUs, interior controls, displays and wiring harnesses. The process of interacting with multinational project teams with a view to problem solving and meeting deadlines is familiar to us.
Wireless communication has become the norm for a huge range of devices in the modern world. From internet routers through to smart meters to a wide range of sensors and receivers that can be used around the home, at work or on the move, we are experienced in integrating wireless technology into existing products as well as designing them from scratch. Whether Zigbee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or a bespoke protocol, we can help you decide the best way to harness the technology for your design.
We have a strong background in HVAC and industrial controls, ranging from gas and electric powered heating devices to environmental sensors, controllers and communications modules for use in building automation systems. We have worked on the software implementation of protocols such as MODBUS and BACNET as well as the integration of wireless technology into existing product portfolios.
